SCRIPT WRITING SUPPORT 108

An online collab with author and creative writing muse, Bryonie Wise

The Script Writing course was the creative and supportive container I was looking for. Waking up to the morning missives was better than a cup of coffee. I felt inspired to see the world in new ways, and try out-of-the-box ways to create and express from my heart. I took this course to help find my unique voice and gain confidence in my writing skills, and what I got was so much more: openness, curiosity, playfulness and community.

ENHANCING YOGA NIDRA WITH CREATIVE WRITING TOOLS

In this second installment of the nidra supplements, we access the support (and inspiration) required to craft and write your own nidra scripts.

OVER THREE SESSIONS

Over three sessions and in partnership with a daily guided writing practice, we clear creative channels and activate the powerful matrix of language contained in our own hearts.

Session one:
The Myth of Creativity (or, Breaking Down the Walls)

Through a series of playful writing exercises, we get real curious (and honest) about where we are in our relationship to creativity (specifically, writing) and its interconnection to all the ways we’re able show up in the world as facilitators (and humans.) From there, we tap the roots of limiting beliefs to help loosen their grip.

session TWO:
The Mirror Has Many Faces (or, Lean into River, Catch Flow)

Session two is dedicated to the fine art of imitation. Mirroring offers a profound portal into cultivating a clear hum we learn to identify as our own written voice. We take a look at a few different scripts written by others and practice rewriting them on pre-existing bones. ‘Read, write, repeat’ will allow us to flex the imagination and build muscles of trust.

session THREE:
Dream Weaving (or, Everything, Everywhere, All at Once)

Our final gathering is a culmination of the road we’ve traveled and it’s where we get a little jazzy. We collectively resource a list of ingredients to fold into the crafting of future nidrā scripts and investigate the orchestral scale inherent within each of us.

I am grateful that Taryn and Bryonie offered this workshop. It was a greater refresher, and Bryonie created an environment in which I felt comfortable to experiment and learn and share.

ABOUT B

Bryonie (aka B) Wise is a multidimensional being who loves library books, road tripping with her rescue doggo, Winston and the many ways sunlight communicates with trees. Like so many sentient beings both before her and surrounding her now, B has lived a variety of lives that continue to make them who they are always becoming.

Ever so briefly, a few highlights: they hold a BAA in Photography, extensive knowledge in fine art publishing, writing and editing, plus eons (okay, like fifteen years or so) of holding safe and sacred spaces for other human beings to move, breathe, create and feel.

There is plenty more, of course, which she’d be happy to share over a cup of tea someday, but hopefully you get a sense of who they are, including this last golden nugget: B is also the author of two independently published poetically inclined books: Stories My Mama Told Me After She Was Gone and Heart Roar: A Book of Tiny Prayers and that, my friends, is that.
