what is yoga nidra?
Yoga nidra is a practice we take from lying down with our eyes closed. In live classes or with recordings, you’ll hear my voice offering suggestions for what to imagine and how to rest your body and engage your mind.
who is yoga nidra for?
This practice is for everyone! Nidra is especially helpful for those in recovery from burn out, for those who have trouble sleeping or resting. A short practice in lieu of that afternoon coffee will leave you feeling resting and alert at the same time.
how long does a practice take?
Practices range in duration from under 10 minutes, to over 20 minutes. You decide how long your deep dive is knowing you’ll emerge rested whether you had 9 or 30 minutes to spend resting.
how should i use your recordings?
Yoga nidra is a practice that is co-created with your nervous system. When you find a pocket of space, use your rest time in the most effective way you can. Find a cozy place to rest your body (bed or couch), pick a recording from the NAPP app, hit play and REST. (Or join me for live classes.)
how will yoga nidra make me feel?
Yoga nidra is an adaptogen, meaning you can trust that you’ll get what you need from the practice. Experiences can include: the best sleep of your life; a potent nap; a creative insight; a profound daydream and then some.
